Module 5: Parameters - Acting Differently

a file upload
We just learned that we can pass values to specified method parameters to vary the object a method acts upon. Now let's learn another way we can vary methods by using parameters.
|Navigator, you will open up our Online Book and the module questions. Save the questions as a copy and insert both partners' names, the date, and your teacher's name where indicated.
Driver, you will open up this Alice world and Save it as: LastName-FirstInitial-LastName-FirstInitial-DancerWorld.
Insert two lines of comments:
// First Name Last Name, First Name Last Name, Sweetwater High School
// Purpose: Make a dance method that takes parameters to vary the outcome.
Do not do anything else with the world until the Navigator tells you to.
|Navigator, begin reading the first few pages with vocabulary and background information to your partner. Alert the driver when they should begin making changes to your program.
Driver, listen carefully and actively to the Navigator.
When you are finished, submit both your Alice World and Questions (Download as PDF and submit).
- Have you answered all questions in complete sentences?
- Did you name your files correctly?
- Did you add your lines of comments to each of your methods in the Alice program?
Last, upload your DancerWorld file to your Google Drive and delete the file off the Mac.
You've already rated students with this rubric. Any major changes could affect their assessment results.
